...so I go for an mtb ride yesterday am, flat on Voodoo near GS....and my spare was FLAT! ARGH! Walked it all the way back to the TOP Phil's canyon and made my way down almost to the Flaming Chicken when two ladies buzz past and one gives me a tube to ride home. Very very grateful.

[fast forward to today] Crested Mt Bachelor (4hrs 5000ft of climbing into my ride) and started bombing down. Dude waves me down at Wanoga and asks if I have a pump or air. Give him my CO2 and assure him I have more. WHOOPS! HIS spare is flat.....he sheepishly asks me for a tube....as I was telling him about my morning yesterday. Got him hooked and headed back home.

Ever hear of a patch kit? You are supposed to be the one patching and giving the fair maidens the tube and service, NOT the other way around!

What the heck are you boys doin up there in Ore-gon anyway?

So, tell us more about this line here....

Where exactly did you ride on Bachelor that was snow free? I'm itching to get higher and higher in elevation, but snow seems to be a problem on the M/W trail and beyond, from what I've read.

Yep, well, the patch kit was in my bag, but I had forgotten to replace it after using it a while back. I also couldn't find the leak in either tube so that I could tie a knot in the tube.
