Just curious to what RP23 is shipping with the Terremoto. And more specifically what is the stroke?

I tried calling Ventana but no luck yet.

Well, I lied.

Or more like the bike shop lied.

I went to pick up my bike last night and was told it hadn't been touched. All I needed was to have my brakes bled. Too complicated I guess. You would hope that when you are told "it will be done Tuesday, no doubt" that you could pick it up Tuesday. Not the case. Oh well. I talked to the owner and he assured me that it will be finished tonight.

So... I will post up pictures of the bike soon.

CharacterZero: I ended up with the Lyrik Solo Air DH, if it rides like the Mission Control version I will be super stoked!

Cool man, I really dig the DH cartridge. I look forward to those pics and some more of your frustration/elation figuring out the new steed. I had a good local ride here last night (Austin) with the 30" bars...made sure to wear my DH gloves for that, and it paid off. Otherwise, the bike is riding awesome...

Wondered where you were yesterday. Only had one Ventana on the ride as RCC went rogue with the RFX.

We're doing Pajarito on Sunday. You interested in going?

Stupid question to ask now, but you did get extra derailleur hangers, right?

Paj on Sunday works for me.

I did not order the hangers with the frame (not sure what I was thinking) and I can't seem to get anyone on the phone when I call Ventana. So.. I lets hope I don't have to "borrow" one.

Ramon was on the RFX because his trashed wheel was at the shop. That wheel needs to be put out of its misery.

If there was only one, does that mean the Ciclon got some trail time?

30" bars, thats it?

J/K I have some Race Face Atlas FR bars on my bike. I love the width, but I also hate it. I am thinking of trimming them a bit because I am tired of scraping trees.

I plan to get everything dialed tonight. Wifey has school, so I'll have some garage time, I found out that my clever way of mounting the Schmidt is detrimental. So I need to clean that up and set sag all around. "IF" the shop has my wheels finished I will spend some time setting those up too. I have a High Roller for the back and a Nevegal for the front. The Nevegal will need some trimming to run well up front I have heard.

Nobody remembers hangers when they order a new frame, cause they "never" break...

Competitive Cyclist has them for less when you buy 4 or more. With the recent influx of new Ventana's to NM, you'll always find someone that will take 1-2 off your hands. I say that because there's an El Ciclón that needs a new one right now.

FWIW, my t-moto didn't ever really feel right until I ditched the RP3 for a DHX4...
Did you have a RP3 on any other bikes?

This is my fourth full suspension frame and all of them have had a RP23. I love the way they rode in the other frames (all 29ers) but that shock doesn't seem to get much love around here. I am hoping I will be happy with it. I think I will be murdered if I try to buy any more bike parts for a while.

Although I have been offered a trade for a DHX...

Yeah...that is right. 30" is pretty wide in the tight&twisty! I just moved from RF Atlasm AM bars that were a few years old @ 27" wide. I looked at the Atlas FRs, but went with chromag instead.

I agree with whatever trimming is necessary for teh Nev - I really just don't dig it as a front tire! Are you doing the "hero"mod? IIRC, it is ever other knob on the next-to-oustide row?

Have fun at Paj this weekend.
