Umma Dumma came over today to build the Tioga Tension Disc he have had collecting dust for 15 years.

It is - 8 today so a bottle of 4 Copas Tequila was in order. We got the 36 h XTR hub from a retrobike u.k. member and we where set to go.

Once we laid out all the small parts and opened up the Tioga screw lock we jumped in. Surprisingly it did not take that long and it wasn't that difficult.

We lost a few of the small silver screws ( and that had nothing to do with the Tequila ) ;) luckily it came stock with extras.

Here is the picture post. I have wanted to build one of these and it is a pretty fun process.

Not too sure about the actual weight. It is definitly heavier than the king / 217 that was on it before. We built it up on a NOS Mavic 261 which is a pretty wide rim. We did not ride it yesterday ( the Tequila would have opened the door for a injury thread post :D ). Post a ride report soon. G-T-

It'll be heavier for sure. And more flexy.

It it is/was NOS after your first ride on it, you may need to retrue it. They do have a little 'settling' period. After that it should say relatively true. I've not had one say perfectly true, but they're tolerable.

The sound and look great though! :D
