derailer is acting up was wondering how painfull it might be if i were to try fixing it myself? is there a manual i could buy or find on the net? doe sit matter on the make and model or is this all very similar from brand to brand? I just figure i should learn how to fix this myself. lol

A useful answer to your question would depend on the problem you are experiencing. If it is a simple adjustment, by all means do it yourself. Most manufacturers put their manuals on line these days and adjustment is pretty similar for all models that a manufacturer produces.

well the specific problem i am having is that some of my gears are just jumping in and out and also it seems the more torque i put on the pedals the more it wants to do this and frankly it is starting to piss me off to know end!!! lol I feel like such a newb asking this because it is probably a easy fix but you know what they say about asking stupid questions! lol
