I know there's a Brake Forum but Ventaphiles are so well informed you all tend to answer faster than any other forum..

Question I have.

I have a 04 Z1 Quick Release version. With Hayes Mag Hydros with a 6" Rotor up front.

What adapter do I need to go to the 8" rotor?

I wish I could count on my LBS to answer these questions but alas, I cannot.

Thanks!

aaron......are you refering to the Z1 FR with the 20mm and QR levers on the bottom of the fork, or are you saying regular old QR axle ?

If you're running a 20mm you'll need: hayes item # 98-15069

and if your running a standard QR then you'll need : hayes item # 98-15604

Quick Release Period.

Just a plain ole 9mm quick release, probably the only real mistake I made when I built up the bike, should've gone 20mm but$$$ was way tight back 5 years ago.

Thanks again for the help, part ordered and 8" stopping power on the way! Whoohoo!
