I can see the TDF's point of view on this one, IF they indeed have the evidence. This won't be known to the general public and cycling community perhaps for a while. BUT, if they indeed have the evidence, then it's certainly in their best interest to protect the sport. It just sucks for guys like Vinikourov (sp?) who were clean but had to sit out due to the fact that their teams didn't have enough riders left to compete. Those guys should be furious either with their teammates, or the TDF officials...depending on what shakes out after this quagmire. Bottom line is, if there is evidence of guys cheating, and I mean GOOD, solid evidence, then something must be done. I just hope they didn't jump the gun and send innocent guys home scrambling to protect their reputations and livelihoods.
