Here is a taste of Sun Valley, ID. Perfect 575 country. We saw another gold 575 on it's maiden ride while we were out there.
Enjoy.

That indeed does look like perfect 575 country. Nice stuff.

Parting shots

We did a trail in Hailey called Imperial Gulch. I would say that eventhough this trail tops out at maybe 8,000 feet (give or take a few hundred :) ), it would give Trail 401 in CB a run for it's money in views and fast-fast singletrack descending, but with almost no switchbacks- just fast sweepers.
Of course, I had to include the obligatory dirty Yeti shot. I was considering replacing the 2.35 Nev Stick-E and putting back the old Mutano 2.4 in the back since the Nev was a bit heavier soooo slow rolling. That is, until this past weekend. We rode on some talus slopes and singletrack dirt the consistency of pumice or talcum powder sprinkled with tiny ball bearing sized rocks and the Nev hooked up very well. It's staying on. Scrubbing off speed without skidding is also amazing with this tire. It really improves your ability to modulate the rear brake.

Great pics bro. Man, the east coast is getting slammed with rain. I think I heard part of the beltway around DC has been shut down due to flooding and mud slides. Parts of DC are flooded. No riding for me. Keep sending the pics for those who can't ride.

Dude, that's the reason I moved out to ID (I grew up in Baltimore/DC) 10 years or so ago. For the next 3 months, we have nothing but sunny or partly cloudy every freakin' day (it's unbelievable). I actually look forward to seeing rain to settle the trails down a bit, plus, it's better traction right after a decent rain.
I've always wanted to ride my 575 on Patapsco or Gambrill...

I hear yah. You know I haven't made my way up to Gambrill or Patapsco yet. I've been meaning to. I'll let you know how it goes with the 575. I should be seeing a little bit of Yeti love here soon because LBS is now a Yeti dealer. Like I said, keep the pics coming.

The best part

about my riding buddy is that:
1. She stops to smell the roses
2. She downhills and climbs crazy fast
3. She eats adobo flip style (with her hands)
4. She's part of the tribe
Here are some non-riding pics...

Nice shots

Thanks for sharing. My first ride of the season was almost all downhill (Downieville) and I forgot my camera. The pics of ID just gave me the jones to ride long and hard XC!

Keep the ride pics coming fellas. I'll post some Tahoe riding pics later.
Best singletrack anywhere...

...it's a tough and subjective call but you could well argue that Sun Valley has the best network of singletrack anywhere, period. :D

If you include Stanley (about 1 hour North of Sun Valley), you have a network of endless amazing singletrack.

Thanks now totally fired up for my trip to Sun valley.

I come to the US each year from ireland for a three week single track gorge. Not riding a 575 but an equally awesome ASR-sl.

Trail network in SV is truely awesome, ive friends in ketchum who we hook up with each year, fisher creek is another stonking run.

Starting and ending my trip in Park city may factor in the endurance 100 dependant on how the beers go down.

See you out there

Stay fast

PS running a 5th element and was considering moving to rp23 anyone any experience of ride improvement

Good stuff flip....
SV is on my list. I have a good buddy that lives in northern UT and he loves the rides in that area.
