Cold and rainy this morning. So I am robbing from Big Mama to build the El Mariachi.

Kinda hate to take her apart. I feel like a period of mourning is in order.

These are not the pictures I expected to see based off your thread title...... haha

I just did a frame swap myself, and it was kinda sad taking apart the bike I was really used to. I recommend a fresh derailleur cable kit to get the new frame dressed up right, and to take your mind off the BM.

Well, ran into some minor trouble yesterday over the brakes. Then I got called on to help form a second ambulance crew. Finally circled back today and have just finished cabling up the El Mar. Here she is:

Kinda miss the old frame already. Ah, well. I can always rebuild it someday.

Just need to put on my preferred seat. Then it is outside to dial in the shifter and brake lever locations.

Curious why the swap, trails not rough.tech enough to warrant the FS?

Just a change of pace. I like the look of the Bomp Pop Blue color and the steel frame, and happened to run across a used one at the end of last season. I just like to change things up every now and then, and frame swaps are a fun way to do it.

LOL! Storm blowing in. Bet we just dropped twenty degrees. First dirt will have to wait.
