Taipei Taiwan: Anyone up for a ride??

I'm going to be staying and working in and around Taipei for 2 weeks starting July 10th. Hoping I can get out on an evening after work or perhaps one day during a weekend. I would love to explore the mtbiking opportunities and would be greatful for any info on hiring a bike and getting in touch with some local riders who may be willing to show me around.
