The US marine is testing a tactical folding bike for paratrooper.

It has SRAM parts and RST shocks. It looks very similar to the Swiss army bike.

I think that Montague<sp> bike AND exact story have been around since about 1998 or so.

I'm guessing that Swiss army bike has 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 & 9mm hex wrenches, regular and phillips screwdrivers, coping blade, spey blade, punch tool, bottle and can openers, hook sharpener, scissors, saw, needle, magnifying glass and an espresso machine?

Which Marine? There are probably close to 200,000 US Marines.

EDIT: Never mind, it's probably the guy in the picture, right?
It looks like the "Hummer" folding bike that some dude was trying to sell on my craigslist for 1 g awhile back, i chuckled.
Does your mountain bike look "bada$$" like that one? Gotta be worth the $800.00

Yeah, this is old. The old woodland BDUs should be a dead giveaway,
Eh, riding a bike with 50-100 lbs of gear and a ruck on is pretty damn tough if not impossible. But they are pretty handy on large, established bases, and I know that a lot of people would use them if the Army issued them.
nugz...there are NSN's on FEDLOG for bikes. I suppose if you get it approved, you could have one issued.
They are available really cheap through AAFES too...
