Hi again, a while back I posted my Altitude Team Only rocky and got some really great suggestions on finishing it off and I had to put some new parts on it for the original pics.

old thread located here: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=141739

I recently went with a good friend to a out of the way bike shop and got to spend 4 hours rummaging through the bins in the back and this was the take.

Syncros stem - 140 mm, Syncros bb, Syncros Crank-o-matics, Control Tech Canti-levers ( not going on the Rocky ) Syncros pro series bar, and some yellow Answer grips to finish the bike off. The parts I went for that did not work where the 117 and 217 ceramic hard anno rims in 36 h ( damn )

The Onza brakes and chill pills I got off e-bay. The Syncros hanger was my dumb buy as I completely forgot that this is for rigid only forks ( duh ! ) on the cross bike it goes with the Control techs.

Prices where super good as they where not even in current display booths so all in all the rocky will come in well under $ 700 cdn. I will post a upgated picture at the end of the weekend.

Have a good Christmas ( sorry if this is not politically correct ) and thanks for the leads, suggestions and most of all motivation. Cheers !

Does anyone have any experience with the Control Techs ? the Manual says 1995 ?

Yep, what ya wanna know?

Those would be about '95. We didn't really see them here in Oz until about '96. Solid, good feel, and work well. I have them on my rigid SS, working very nicely with my Pauls levers.

Nukeproof is/was/used to be based in Michigan, Grand Rapids specifically. Don't guess they were in the grease making business though, probably just rebadged with their label..

Saw some great battles between him and Gullickson in the early 90's on the East Coast!
