Hi all!

My wife and I were thinking of driving down to Syllamo this weekend (from Iowa) to get some dirt riding in.

Having never been down there, what's the soil like? I know you guys are getting some rain today. Any hope of being able to ride Saturday afternoon?

We don't want to be ******s screwing up the trail... and don't want to drive 8 hours if we can't ride :)

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Talked to a few people that rode there last weekend and they said the trails are in perfect shape. Not muddy at all. It's typical Arkansas rocky soil that drains very well. Lots of flat-rock sections that can be very slick when wet though so be careful of that. Also be prepared for several creek crossings depending on which trails you ride.

Make sure you do the red trail while you're there. Its a 13 mile loop that's a blast to ride.

Have fun!

Thanks for the heads up. We decided to give it a go. Just stopped about 60 miles north to spend the night. Plan on heading down the rest of the way in the morning.

We'll be sure to hit the red trail!

Cheers
