Sycamore Canyon (SD) - Lost Watch

711 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Canaan
Went out riding this morning in Sycamore Canyon and decided to strip off my vest and arm warmers before the switchback climb at the Santee end. It wasn't until I got back to the truck that I realized when I took the watch off to remove the arm warmers, I had left my watch in my short's pocket and it got dropped somewhere along the route. I'm guessing it's along the switchbacks going back down, but it could have been anywhere.

It's a black Timex sport watch on a black velcro wrap-around wrist band. I'd appreciate a note if anyone found it.

BTW, the trail was in great shape and it was obvious someone took the time to clean uo the low spots that collected water. (thanks!) Awesome ride for the end of the year, even if I did lose the watch! The trail will be absolutely perfect on New Year's Day.

I'll keep an eye out for it tomorrow. I rode there yesterday too - great weather, great dirt. Had a scary almost head on collision.

Two words -- bear bell. If the almost head-on was near the south gate of the preserve in the mid-morning, it was probably with someone in my group.
