Anyone have recommendations on shoes to use with clipless pedals? I'd like a shoe that can drain water well since it will probably be getting wet frequently. Other than that, I'm not sure what else I should be looking for in a shoe to use with clipless pedals.

Clipless shoes need a stiff sole to prevent pressure hot spots at the pedals, and ideally should have a grippy rubber outsole so you can actually walk on the trail when necessary. I like Lake MTB shoes as they have Vibram outsoles so you can walk across the rocks in a creek, or up wet rocky and rooty trails. They also make a more recreational MTB shoe that is even more walkable.

What type of pedals are you using? If you use Time ATACs or Crank Brothers Eggbeaters you need a fairly wide cleat pocket to fit the release mechanism on these pedals. If it's too narrow you can widen it with a knife or dremel tool but it might be simpler to get a shoe that will work without modification. I had to modify my Shimano shoes to fit my ATACs.
