I'm thinking about building up a 29er frame, but I'm still a serious newbie.
I know that, besides the frame, I will need the wheels/tires, and fork. The seatpost is the same size for both.

What else will I need, that I cannot transfer from my 26" bike?? Will the derailleurs, disc brakes, headset, etc. work? Will I need a new bottom bracket? Seatclamp? Ahhh :madman:

the only thing that will "need" to be changed from the switch are:

* tires
* rims
* spokes
* fork

everything else has nothing to do with moving to a 29er. as with a switch to any frame, the specs may also require you to get a new seatpost, seatpost collar, front derailleur, cables, and possibly, but most likely not, a bottom bracket (nothing to do with 29er size though). Even 26er tubes are fine.
