It should be a comparatively easy swap. Take your time, read the instructions 2 or three times before you even touch a tool, and make sure you have a good idea of what's going on.
While you're at it, pick up some new cable housing and cable, since the old housing may or may not be long enough. This would be a good time to invest in some teflon coated cables, and a good cable cutter. Make sure your cuts are good... search the forums for tips on cutting housing.
But yeah... mounts shoudl be the same.
