Hi...I ride a 2000 Cannondale Jekyll 700SX, which has the single pivot swing arm (same arm that the Super V had). Later generations of the Jekyll had a different swing arm, and I was wondering why they decided to make this change. What is the advantage of this other geometry (strength? weight?)? If one wanted to, could you place the swingarm from a new Jekyll onto a '00 Jekyll? Would anyone reccomend doing this? Thanks for the help!

The new swingarm design was made to accomodate the longer suspension they put on
the bikes starting in 2002 .
You cannot put the longer swingarm on the short travel Jekyll (I already looked into this) .
Note : If you need a replacement 2001 or later swingarm , you are out of luck as they are no longer being made
