We hit perfect conditions on an early morning ride in a certain mountainous area of Utah a week ago. The suncrust was strong with a bit of fresh snow on top and we rode wherever. Nothing like riding on top of smooth, rolling 4-5 feet of snow. We were able to climb up in the trees, bomb down, cross snow bridges over streams...etc. Couldn't get enough. Lou's and Nate's are best as the slopes get steeper or you have to side hill in this stuff. I struggled on some slopes with Larry 4.8s.

Riding over a marshy area in the first picture where there is no trail once the snow melts.

yes, the last 2 weeks we had magical floatalicious conditions here in Western NY... go where every you wanted to go. riding a Pug with on one floaters....

Almost all snow gone as of today... was weird riding on the road again on sunday, one gets used to slogging along at 5-6mph... jumping up to 20 is kinda nice. Although man did those 23s seem way too skinny.

Also discovered that the fatty is the perfect bike to ride with my daughter, who is just learning how to ride a bike... it does excel at slow rides.
