Treasure Mountain to Windy Pass -- out and back. Rode with Gary from Del Norte. Perfect weather. The trails are quite dry around here, though. Could use some rain. Nice riding with you, Gary.

Great pics.

Not for anything, but you guys out west who post these pictures have to be s--ting me. You mean to tell me, you walk out the back door for a ride and this what it is?

The thing is, I've been out west plenty, and even got to ride and I know it exists. But I can't believe that people actually live there and this is their local ride that they can ride everyday. Un-frigging believeable.

We in the NJ have some nice real places to ride, but nothing at all like out there. Unfair. :)

Well actually, the trailhead is about a 45 minute drive from my house. But there are some slightly lees spectacular rides directly from the house.

Sorry about the size of the pictures. I tseems like I have to figure out a different way to upload photos every time.

Thanks Mike!

Well, that new camera seems to be doing a GREAT job. Beautiful country. Mike, I'm glad we finally got together. It is always good to meet and ride with another 'mature' rider, especially since we seem to ride well together. Let's do it again! Next time let's take the road up though! BTW, we were both on SS rigid big wheels.

The road sounds pretty good...

This out-and-back ride is eleven miles singletrack up -- turn around -- and eleven miles singletrack down. Elevation 8,100 feet to 11,200 feet and back.

More than a little bit of pushing with the singlespeeds at the steeper parts near the top.

Gary, now you've gotta show me Del Norte. Good luck with your race.

The trail is called Treasure Mountain; supposed to be a huge stash of gold up there somewhere. The "treasure" is the single track, IMO. It's just west of Wolf Creek Pass half way between Mike's and my house. Lucky us!

I would have been pushing at the top regardless of how many gears I might have had.

Don't you have more photos Mike?
