Getting some helpful info from Rocky Mountain support that contradicts what is posted in their
online knowledge base for the Suzi Q. Not sure how many eyes will see this, but posting here in case it helps someone in the future.
Their knowledge base says:
1) That the alloy version (-30 and -50)
is not compatible with the Mastodon. Customer service has said that's wrong, and that it is fully compatible with the standard Mastodon (he specifically called out the standard, didn't mention the extended).
2) That the Suzi Q geo is designed for a
100mm suspension fork. CS said "You can even go up to 120mm, with the sag you will keep the same geo. At 100m the HTA will be steeper. The Mastodon is internally adjustable in 10mm increments and it is pretty easy to do"
So sounds like a 120mm Standard Mastodon (either pro or comp) is what I want to keep the geo the same, and has the added bonus of going up if I want to play around with slackening things out a bit. Anyone else have direct experience on this?
