Suspension Gurus - Short travel Revelation (dual posistion) or Travel adjust Reba Mod

Anyone know if it can be done? Inserting the dual position air component from a Revelation into a Reba. Thought it would be handy having a 90mm - 120mm fork as there isnt really any on the market at the moment.

or adding 30mm spacers into a 2011 Dual Position Revelation to reduce travel to 90-120mm

The minimum travel you can get is 120mm...

The travel seems to be given by some small holes in a shaft. One is where 150mm is and the other at 120mm. Even if you put a spacer under the negative piston, if you activate the lower travel setting, you get 120mm.

It should fit, I think, but you'd have to install a spacer to prevent the form from extending past the limits of the chassis and I'm not sure of interferences at full compression (should be none as the Rev should compress to the crown and both are for the same wheel size.

I think you'd have better luck with an Air U-Turn assembly.
If i install 30mm of spacers should i get my 90-120mm travel?

Can the air u-turn be modded to give 100-120mm?

I havent seen the internals of an air u-turn fork, can spacers be installed in them to reduce travel range?

No, I think the lowest travel setting comes given by the upper hole in the shaft of the cartridge. Unless you put a spacer longer than 30mm, the fork will want to extend to the 120mm setting.

I don't remember to have seen one done, but it should work.

Yes. It's the same architecture as a Dual Air, but the Air U-Turn is at the top of the cart.

The negative top out bumper (black piece on the rod) could be any length..
