Suspension Fork For Christmas?

I am in the market for a new suspension fork for my Surly 1x1 and I need some recommendations. Any thoughts on the mavericks?

don't know the mavericks, but i like the white brothers. considered them?

Fox F80/100X. I have one on my gearie and one of these days will on my SS too.

Too much fork

I think the Maverick forks have way too much travel for a 1x1 frameset. I wouldn't put anything on there with more than 100mm of travel or your handling is going to suck.

I have a Marzocchi MX Comp 85mm on mine and I'm very happy with it. Other options:

- Fox F80X (see post in Surly forum for knob-downtube issue)
- RockShox Reba
- Marzocchi Marathon or MX

Not sure what type of riding you're doing but any of these forks would work with the 1x1 geometry.
