Looking for a few recommendations on a good 80mm travel suspension fork for a first generation (no gusset between the head tube and the down tube) 16" KM frame.

Please include pics if possible.

There are some fork clearance issues with those older ones. I ran a Reba with the internal floodgate knob, it cleared fine. If you have the external adjuster it will hit. A pic on this old thread:
