I am thinking of buying either a 62cm Surly Long Haul Trucker or a 22" Karate Monkey.

I live between Bellingham and Mt. Vernon.

I am looking to test ride either bike to find out if either would fit me well. Is there anyone in the area who would be willing to met me and let me take their bike for a spin? I would do all the traveling. Of course, if your coming to Bellingham / Galbraith I could meet you there.

Have you tried Kulshan Cycles in Bellingham? I worked there back at the end of the century. Great, dedicated staff (Moe(owner), Dan, and Zac would be really helpful contacts) and they carry Surly. Probably the best bet for a test ride if there are no willing owners in your area.

BTW, I ride a KM (large- I'm 6'1" with a 36" inseam and short torso/long arms) and highly recommend it. Best multi-purpose bike I have ever owned. Good Luck!
