a standard threaded mtb front axle should go right in. thread off all the hardware from the old axle, and the new one *should* go just fine. i can't think of the particular size standard right now (brain fart) but should be easy to get.

did this front and rear to the surly hubs on my crosscheck; been working well for nearly two years now. it's a very quick and easy conversion.
