Barely made it to the mid-thirties today; even colder for the next few days. Probably won't hit thirty until the middle of next week.
To cold to ride? C'mon dude....

Try Baker City if you think it's cold here. We used to live there.

Plenty of frozen dirt on Mr T today, with snow stopping upward progress at Sahalie Falls. We also got plenty of sunshine, and alot of smiles!

They seem to make the news every day in winter as the coldest spot in Oregon.

Unfortunately; my cold weather bravado is curbed today. Currently; it's 20F with an inch or so of snow over ice.
Which proves the cardinal rule of mountain biking: when you can ride; you must go.

You're right. Guess I should pay more attention to the weather report; but here in the Gorge, you can't really count on the weather reports; the weather changes so quickly.
About 17F here now; wind is raging so who knows what the wind chill is. Everything is frozen.
Yesterday's ride seems like a dream; going outside now or having to drive on the icy roads would be a nightmare.

suggestions or comments about socks?
Pair of reasonably thin winter socks, baggie(all I had were sandwich bags; I prefer the thicker freezer bags), another pair of ankle socks over the baggie. Whatever fits in your shoes. Make sure you can wiggle your toes.

3 hrs @ 22~27 degrees F today ... thin wool socks and covers worked great. I am pretty sure they are good for another 10 degrees.

I'm tempted to ride in this kind of weather yet I'm without a bike. Go figure...

Beautiful sunny day today but 11F this morning maybe on it's way to 20F. If I had somebody to ride with I might go; but by myself it might be sketch. If something happens; cold weather like this is dangerous.

That sounds cold!

Ronbo!

It's toasty over here, compared to that! We just might hit 32 today! Woo hoo!

Come on over soon for some Tillamook riding, some disc golf, and some wiskey to warm ya up. (Yikes, I'm talking myself out of working today!)

Dang, Sparty! It'll be difficult to get that picture out of my mind! Perhaps volumes of beer will help erase it ... (I'll try)

Back the Banana Sack!

Shrinkage is more of a problem now; currently an appendage shrinking 8F.

Burr or Yuk?

Looks like I'll be riding the stationary pain device tonight instead of the MTB.

It may be boring, but at least the trainer will not freeze my ... appendages off.
