G'day all

So while most of you are enjoying/suffering a long and cold winter it's summer here (Australia) and I need to get to work, so here is a bit of a profile of my pugs in week day mode. Just in case any one is interested.

Takes about 15 minutes to remove the rack and put on the endo's for the weekend and that's 1 less bike I need

Wheels: Velocity blunt 29ers and hubs built by Velocity
Tyres: kenda kwest 28c (on a 28mm rim :) )
Frame: 18" this was quite possibly the first pugs in Australia
Bottle cages: Velocity velocages
Rack: Tortec expedition rack, which does fit with the endo's

I love it. I rocked stans 29 er rims with some crows on my pug and loved it except for one thing. I didn't use the exact same rear hub when I built the second 29/700c wheel. Every wheel swap required a rear disc brake realignment.:madman: but who has the cash for two chris king rear hubs laying around.

And if you don't mind I would like to repost on my site for all the haters that feel that a fat bike is only a "winter" bike.

i wished I'd been able to use the same rear hub too but my fatty hub is a Hadley so it's a similar story, but i get minimal rubbing if any.

I had a bolt on chris king fat wheel and an American classic 29er wheel I redished to fit the pug. I was using hope brakes too. With the hopes I had to undo the lower bolt to take out the wheel. When I slid in the 29er wheel it was off slightly, but enough to drive you crazy and reposition the caliper. I guess because the king had more clamping force it would cause me to set the disc caliper up one way vs the qr. I do know that I could get the wheel to slip in the dropouts with the xt qr.

Two identical bolt on hubs would be the set up for switching wheels. Also a rear disc brake that allows you to slid the wheel out without un-bolting it would be golden. This would cut down on swapping hassles. My .02
