Well, biking season has been over for a while here. It's been two weeks since I went on a real ride. Since then snow has accumulated over a foot outside my front door. Our mountains have been getting snowed on every day for the last week, over 50" of powder for me to play in this weekend. . .

These are pictures I took this summer while I was guiding in Chamonix France for 10Fifty mountain bike holidays. Chamonix is an amazing place, the backdrops are that much more surreal in person. If you want to do some of the best and most difficult technical riding you have ever done in an incredible set of mountains go to Chamonix. I promise you won't be dissapointed. Just make sure you get a good guide ;)

Wow, that looks like some amazing riding. It looks spectacular even in the photos. if it is even better in person that must be incredible. That motivates me to start making a list of places to go biking around the world, once i have more time and money.

Ummm, wow. I mean it. Wow. Perhaps the best mountain biking photos I've ever seen on this board. If you guide again next year, please stuff me (and my bike) in your suitcase so I can go too.

Wow!

I don't think I'll be doing it again. I need to get a summer job that pays well to support my broke student ass.

Your photos of the Chamonix region are the best pics I have seen on these boards ever. !

The best pics of '05, imo.

You are so very fortunate to have experienced it first-hand.

Thank you for giving us the pleasure of viewing them too...

killer place! i rode there 3 years ago for one day, should of done ALOT more. we took the gondola up for like 5000 feet, pure singletrack descent. there is supposed to be some real technical trails also as we are more into freeriding now, but still love long flowy descents.
the map showed alot.

Hey, are you working at the Yellowstone Club again this winter?
I remember some great pics from last winter. Nice Chamonix pics, I enjoyed them. Post more if you could please :)

Again some inspiring pictures... Is that second picture the trail above the Mer de Glace that you told us about?

We did a nice descent two weeks ago above Vallorcine, see pics. Made sure to stay on the South facing slopes but still pretty cold. Now the snow has come and so most trails are not ride able anymore...next weekend we'll go the Zermatt and kick of the winter season. Guess we'll be going to Chamonix a couple of times this winter...there're some BC tours on our list...
