My fork is new and came with my Canyon Lux. However I noticed a sucking/air noise when it hits bumps. Is this normal? Here's a video clip. You'll notice it happens when I hit bumps.

Normal, that is your rebound damping at work.

Can't play the video, but mine does it too, does not seem like damping, seems and sonuds like it's sucking in/expelling air on every cycle.

It doesn't happen when the fork is pressed down. Only when it rebounded, the sucking sound appears. Also it's only when there's a fast rebound. Hitting bumps gently produces no sound.

Classic Fox sound. At least all my 34s have done that. Z2 too.

A former Fox fork engineer I used to work with told me how he asked his boss if they wanted him to redesign a damping circuit to get rid of the "fox sound".

Well, as a user for nearly 30 years now (polymers the first years), I hate that sound. Or any sound that distracts me from the pleasure of the ride. I understand it is part of the fork, but it has aways bugged me. Now my new SID Ultimate makes it. The Pike did not.

I suggest you never get an EXT shock then. They are awesome but make lots of interesting noises...

What's an EXT shock? Are you referring to the EVOL on Fox shocks?
