I am pretty excited by this bike. I will get all of the parts next week, and I will post up the actual weights and photos. If this is anywhere close this will be an amazing $ to weight to reliability build.

Some parts were from MTBRers, SLX group from Merlin Cycles, and A few things from ChainReaction.

It's a nice build for $2K, but I think you're optimistic on some of the weights. The Revelation will be closer to 4lbs vs. less than 2lbs. Then you need to add in the weight of cables and the bolts for all of various parts. The weight of the rear wheel also seems low based on the specs. I think the bike will be closer to the 24.5 to 25.0 lb range when it's all done. Still a nice bike and respectable weight.

Yeah, typo, the Revelation should be 1809.
My goal was sub-24 for sub-$2k.
I am a recovering weight weenie, and I am tired of all my used gear breaking down. After a recent move, my closest trail is now littered with rocks and 1-2 foot drops.

I just built up a EBAY special carbon 29er and have a love/hate relationship with it. I love it when going up. Then when I come down I ask myself why the F didn't I ride my trailbike.
