ok, i didn't post this in the single speed forum b/c i want non-biased opinions...

i'm looking to get a single speed. i'm not really rollin in the dough since i have to take take summer classes for school to graduate when i mean to. heres the question:

Should i convert my bike to single speed? i only have one, i want single speed and i'm not sure what to do.

i've heard alot of people that ride single speed sorta hang up there old geared hard-tails anyway.

Convert

There are cheaper ways, but I got a Gusset conversion kit and a Surly Singleator and converted my gearie into a SS.

Can not escape the SSers.

If you want a SS, do it. Covert your current bike. It can cost you almost nothing. If you do not like it convert it back the gears.

Listen to Shiggy...there's a FAQ in the SS forum that was VERY helpful for me converting my gearie over.
