This is has become a FAQ, info easily available by searching

but Nokian makes the W106 in 700x35 and 700x45 (I have both sizes) and the W240 in 700x40. The 700x45 is only available mail order. The 700x45 will actually stay on top of packed snowmobile tracks as well as a 26x2.0, but in North America this size is available only through peterwhitecycles.com. Otherwise you'll have to make your own: next winter I may stud up a Big Apple.

I have a few rides in on the 29" Hakka W240's and they perform as well as the 26" 294 Extremes I rode last year. Yup, they are narrow, but it does not seem to make a difference in traction.

I just did a ride with someone who made his own, seemed to work great he was very happy, thought they worked better on snow and ice than regular tires on dirt. Rivits/screws whatever, you might have more fun makling them.

thanks for the help, i'll have to make some.
Yeah, try making some.. It takes a couple of hours over a few beers, but it is neat. I believe I used about 120 1/2" machine head screws per tire. I posted some details on another posting here..can't find it at the moment..
