Ive heard about some trails on Stringers Ridge in Chattanooga, TN. I live on Signal Mountain so Stringers is pretty close by. Has anybody ridden on the trails recently? Any good? Ive also heard that some people have made some ladders, drops and jumps like that, which i would be very intrested in. Can anybody give directions where the trailheads for these trails are and how to get there, any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Sam,

Unless something has changed the ladders and stunts are old and VERY poorly built. Stringers Ridge is private land that isn't exactly open to riding and not exactly closed to riding (Hope that clears things up). Some old road beds are part of the trails and still city right of way so you can be there no problem. There has never been an issue to be on the other trails to my knowledge either.

Many of the trails were cut by ATV and some have unclimbable lines due to the straight up the fall line route they took. You are hard pressed to ride more than 5 or 6 miles without multiple back tracking or laps. The Terrain isn't particularly exciting but there are a few short sections of cool single track.

If the stunts have been improved it might be worth it but from an XC stand point don't go out of your way. If you really want up to date info (It's been over a year since I've actually been there) go to Suck Creek. Sam or Mike might be able to give you more info. If not Zach or Noah at Rivery City might have been up there lately.

Sam,
I went up to Stringers and did some exploring about a month ago. I found the stunts, and as the previous poster stated, they are old and poorly built. There are a few that look a bit more recent, but the layout for most was all wrong. That being said, I hit most of them ('cause they were there), but it isn't worth going out of your way for.
If you are interested in that type fo riding, I have found Signal to have by far the best natural stunts. I have been exploring up there quite a bit a scoping out some areas with HUGE potenital. If you are interested in doing a little riding/ exploring/bushwacking let me know.
