Has any one ridden up the Colby Canyon trail to Josephine Saddle. Or know if it's rideable.
I guess it is ridable but not very easy. The trail is very steep and rocky in some areas. It would be one hell of a climb. It is pretty fun to go down though. Be careful of hikers on the weekend, that is a popular hiking trail.KRANKING KIWI said:Has any one ridden up the Colby Canyon trail to Josephine Saddle. Or know if it's rideable.

If you are looking for an alternate to the Strawberry Loop, which looked pretty packed last weekend. Try going from Colby Ranch Trailhead off Upper Tujunga Rd. This adds about 6 miles to the normal loop. The bottom is a bit steep in areas but adds some really nice scenery.
Or do Strawberry in reverse but come down Colby Canyon rather than the fireroad. I've heard Strawberry in reverse is cool but that the fireroad decent sucks. A Colby decent would change all that.
