hit the claim button, but then dont complete the deal?

Strava recently instituted an option where people can mute challenges they sign up for. I guess that person hasn't taken advantage of it. If that's the case, and you don't really like/know them, unfollow and move on.

EDIT-so I assume you're the 'Scott' in the screenshot. If so, do what I talked about in the first sentence. Or, unfollow yourself.

(in my best announcer voice) Do you have low self-worth? Feel the need to get a trophy every time you ride? Can't set random distance goals on your own? If so, then Strava Challenges are for you! (end commercial)

Just don't click on them to join and they'll be less annoying. Mostly I don't see the point, but rarely I'll go through the hassle to get a discount or freebie.

It is my kid. Same last name. Anyway, it sounds like this is the solution to my problem (I will ask him). He is signing up for all these challenges to stay motivated. Or annoy me.
