After seeing the "stable" thread, I see many people have a lot of bikes. Please post pics of how you (esp. those with many bikes) store your bikes. Garage? Shed? Designated Room in the House? Are they standing around? Hanging? Rack? Post them up, if you got them. While you're posting, how about pics of where you perform maintenance or repairs. Thanks.

Mine are leaning against the wall in the garage. Pull the car out, and use garage when performing maintenance.

I am currently in the "figure out what to do with all our bikes" phase so hopefully I can get some ideas. We have a six person family with at least 2 bikes each so yes, I basically have a small bike shop at home. :D

My kitchen currently houses 90% of my parts (on the table)...
along with my FS, DJ bike, and Roadie...
4 spare wheels, two forks waiting for builds or to be installed...
and three frames that are likely to be sold off to finance new projects.

I'm still working on my garage, but for now, some bikes hang, some lean against the wall and one is always clamped onto the work stand. The plan is to eventually have everything on a display stand or a wall rack. Currently we have 10 bikes, three are in the house....

Not mine, someone else posted it up a while back, thought it was a very inovative solution that didn't use a lot of space.
I really like that setup. I might have to construct something like that, but I need to figure out where to put it.

I've got 7 bikes, plus 3 frames in my garage, so I need to figure something out. Right now, most of them are hanging from the ceiling in the garage, one of my road bike stays in my house, and a frame or two is on my car that's in storage.

No pictures.
2 bikes in the house: 1 against the couch, the other against dining room table. 4 bikes in the garage.
With that, we also have 3 surfboards in the house: 2 by the front door, 1 next to the piano.

At times, I wonder if I have a house or a damn pawn shop.

Forum search: garage, there's a thread called garage or work spaces or something like that. Looked it up recently there are a couple of really cool garages with various pictures, using it as inspiration as i'm currently working on transforming mine on a bike shop/general workshop and man-cave down there

Not too huge. Two of my bikes and two of my wife's bikes.

In the guest bedroom. Can't understand why guests are nervous to sleep in the bed. HAHA Whatever, it gets them gone quick enough.

nice. i just sent this pic to my wife as a proposed solution for storing my bike inside our small apartment. she wants me to put it outside on our 2nd floor balcony. umm no.

Glad to help. Best part was I don't think I spent over $60 on all of it.

Tell her that she will live outside before the bikes do. Women don't rust, bikes do.

BTW- You live in Norman? I am originally from Edmond. Although I grew up a Cowboy fan and went to UF...

ive only got one bike I need to store (my backup is safe in a friend's garage about 20 miles away) so I just want to do a hook into a wall stud and hang it up on the wall. She has already agreed to let the bike be inside, just sitting updside down on the ground next to the guest bed. Its kind of in the way and this seems like the best solution. I sent her that picture and my idea and she said she wasnt crazy about it but we could discuss.... no idea why she WOULDNT want that..... does it leave tire marks on the wall or marks where the fork rests on the paint?

we just got married two weeks ago, so this could be our first married fight. haha

I am originally from Tulsa, went to OU (4th generation OU grad), moved to Chicago, then Denver, now Fort Worth. I get up to about 3 games a year. and Im still mad we choked that 2009 National Title game against UF. man.....

So far no scuffs on the wall, but we have a heavy eggshell paint on there so that might be why?

Congrats on getting married. We're coming up on 2 years. If bike storage is the worst thing you ever fight about you'll be fine. :D

I make it back to OK about once a year or so. Mainly just for family. I wasn't gonna bring up the UF thing since I know that's a sore subject talking to all my family. :D

Here's my setup. I work on stuff in front of my wife's car, the garage is one of those 2 1/2 sizes. I will probably anchor a length of 1x strapping along the ceiling so I can space the hooks better, without having to be in a joist.
