My bike was on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, at the barracks. I had it chained up but the thieves cut it or picked the lock. It went missing on Tuesday the 8th.

It's a 2006 Specialized HSR XC Full suspension mountain bike. Looks exactly like the picture, but mine has all red brake lines and a new seat.

I suspect the barracks manager took it to station property for being illegally parked and one of the SP Marines took it home with them. I can't prove this, nor can I prove that I am the owner of the bike. I wanted to post here in case anyone comes across it.

I notified the base authorities and checked all places I could think of (PMO, Station Property, Barracks manager, etc). Please if you see it call 619 940 4662. I will give a reward. Thank you.

That sucks. And what's worse is that you signed up to defend our country against all enemies foreign and domestic, and this is how your country repays you -- by stealing your mtn bike. You're already living in spartan conditions in those barracks, and now there's this on top of that. Unbelievably lame.

From what it looks like, it happened on base. So the "country repaying him" was quite possibly another Marine
