Hey to all...
I wanted to ask this community for help. Please keep your eyes open in the So. Cal (Los Angles) area for a 2011 Cannondale SL2 29er. This bike was stolen from my garage alone with several other items. The bike has a few noticeable upgrades...

Titec carbon fiber handle bars, XT cranks, Thomson Elite seat post, etc. Here is a pic...

Any info would be appreciated, offering $$ CASH REWARD $$...

Thanks everyone!

I'm in Northern California, but will certainly keep an eye out. That sucks man, sorry to hear it. Should be easy to find though!

Keep a close eye on craigslist. We just had several stolen items show up on CL and we caught the guy red handed in a meet and buy operation with law enforcement.

Yes I did have it posted. I was hoping to sell it and then use the $$ to grab a full suspension, but all that is a fart in the wind now...:madmax:

I would check with the last two or three people that came to look at the bike. Especially anybody who seemed like they were slimy.

I contemplated buying it before I got my Rocky Mountain Vertex 29er.

Well, no one actually came out to see the bike. Besides, I don't bring folks from CL to my home. I appreciate all the help guys, thanks again! At this point, I'll just cross my fingers. I've hit up every pawn shop in the valley and have flyers at all the LBS's in my area.
Let's see what happens...

I'm surprised at how often people will go into a garage to steal a bike - it then becomes more than just a bike theft, it's now residential burglary.

WTF!!!???

It's a nice bike but its more likely a crime of opportunity. Garage got broken in to and there was a nice bike to steal as well as whatever else they got away with.

Thats exactly what the mother #@!%* did... They pried the exterior garage door with a crow bar, and pulled up with the door until the chain broke off the automatic roll up track. They stole my bike, several tools, my fly fishing polls and vest along with other fishing gear, ran sacked thru my wife's car taking her all cd's, stole my daughters backpack and books. It's disgusting! I have a nice collection of pistols and shotguns, they are lucky as hell I didn't hear anything :nono: LMAO...

well sorry to say, but if you think about how it goes down it's rarely randomness. unless your garage was opened advertising itself and the perpetrator happen to score, more than likely it's someone who knows you or knows of you and when you're not home...I would ck with neighbors for similar events, if you're an isolated victim, well, why?

you bragged to others about what you got?
you bring peeps to your pad?
your friends' friedns stopped by lately?
bar-b-q or kikcbacks?...
you trust your neighbors and garage is opened all day sreaming "look at what I got here!"

good luck.

So, if they broke into your garage, wouldn't your home owners insurance cover that? I'd assume you filed a police report? Should help your case for insurance, I'd imagine.

It should... I have all the receipts etc. But still, it sucks and it's frustrating!

Yeah we went out to get our paper one day and on the mailbox was a form from the police that our garage door was open and unattended and valuables in site. Since then we cable lock the bikes together, make sure golf clubs can't be seen and keep the door shut. We live in the least area of crime around in the back of the neighborhood with no short way out and still arm the alarm and now leave that door closed.

Sorry man. I would be heart broke. I just sold a set of golf clubs to a friend that had his stolen out of his open garage while he was at home. F'n sux!!
