i'm interested in raising my stem up approx 1 inch but have no room left on fork steer tube. Would adding one of these stem risers be safe for anything other than light riding? I do some pretty hard trail riding, 2-3 foot drops at pretty high speeds.

It ays it rises up to 3 inches but i was thinking of cutting it down for only an approx. 1 inch rise.

thanks in advance

If it were me, i would rather add a riser stem or higher rise bars.

Those things just add another piece to fail in a place that sees a lot of wierd torquing.

Usually raising the bars up so much makes for a front end that doesn't hook up on downhill turns and likes to wander on climbs.
