I'm getting ready to install my new monter and was wondering how much steerer tube to cut. What I really need to know is: do a lot of people run this fork without the integrated stem so that if I want to sell the fork later I would be better off having left enough steerer tube to accomodate such people?

You might as well leave the room if you think you'll be selling it in the future. You can just put spacers on the part above the top crown that you have. not to mention that your headtube length is gonna be different than the person you sell it to.

its your fork so cut it so it fits your bike...

id leave some room if your not running the direct mount stem and just use some spacers...

cut that crap off..... a new steerer later is only about $35 if you want to sell it.....

oh well if there that cheap to replace then do what WCH said cut it down coz they look ugly and stupid having this stump sticking out for no reason...

the hacksaw is ur friend...

(not only do they cut steerer tubes but they can cut door knobs off ppl front doors u dont like... )
