has anyone tried Stan's (or equivalent) w/ their AC? i'm trying to run lower pressures and save a bit of weight in the process and going tubeless w/ Stan's seems like it might be a (relatively) easy way to achieve this.

also, does anyone have any recs on a reasonable spring weight for my AC? i'm 200#, ride a little of everything (not a lot of DH, though), and have a 2001 AC1 w/ a fox vanilla RC that only has a 500# spring right now. i was thinking 600# or 750#?

I've got an '03 AC2 and I run Stan's on the rear (non-UST Python) with no problems. Maxxis HighRoller DH on the front with a tube in it. Tubeless conversion really makes the Python bite better than you'd expect.

I have a 2005 AC and the factory spring was not nearly enough. After a little testing the bike shop I was getting the bike from stated I should use an 800# spring so we installed it. It works great. I weight right around 210 pounds and that change on the spring made all the difference. I use my AC mostly for extreme XC but love to throw in some drops and downhill along the way. I set the travel for 5.3" for freeride and with the heavier spring you can climb a tree with this thing. Very little bounce but handles the rough terrain and drops great.
