That is some major carnage. Looks like erosion will be a major problem for a while. I wonder how many of the trees will remain standing, and for how long. Part of the Boise foothills looked like that after a fire tore through 9 or so years ago, but the area has recovered fairly well. Lots of the dead burned trees are still standing. A few pics of that area in this thread (pics 2-4)...
