Has anyone used standard non-tubeless Hutchinson Scorpion's with a Mavic 3.1 UST rim? Is this tire strong enough to be used as tubeless, and will it seal to the rim (with Stan's of course)?

Standard tires work fine on UST rims with tubes. I do not recommend DIY tubeless.

As shiggy said, It'll work fine. You may want to put some weather stripping through the center channel to help with beading the tyre.
