Washers seem like they don't cause any medium-term problems. I've been running washers on my '02 with the RP3 shock for 2 months now without any noticable problems.
Stainless Thru Sleeve for SB
Anyone else running these notice a little slop in the longer pin? It seems like the aluminum sleeves that center the shock aren't quite wide enough, at least with the 5.25" linkage on my '02 SB. Maybe a couple of thin washers will take care of it...
