I just ordered a pair of Ashima rotors and I’m wondering if I need different pads. The Avid elixirs that came on my 2010 Stumpjumper expert have semi-metallic pads and I was hoping to use them with my new rotors. I read a review that says I should use sintered semi-metallic, is there a big difference? If so, is there a particular brand I should buy to work with my new rotors? Thanks

Most rotors are stainless steel. Use whatever pads you like.

The two you mention are basically same thing.
