I just came back from Woodside on the road bike and it was a bit chilly, but not bad. Started to sprinkle a bit too, but hopefully you will stay dry. It sure was nice to get out and spin the legs!

Yep, the singletrack has 5 unavoidable puddles. Otherwise, I stayed bone dry.

I just got in from riding my road bike up Hicks and over Kennedy and took the LG creek trail home. I think it was the coldest road bike ride ever for me.

I felt temperature was pretty good this afternoon (but my waterbottle is spiked with Grappa, so I might be wrong)

Didn't see this thread so I went to Fremon Older instead: St.Joes and the whole Sierra Azul area is in way better shape than FO.

Rode the Figure 8 yesterday and it was all good.

Then went for a lap on St.Joes (to round the footies to 4k)
There must be some serious Jack pot in LG

All I know is it was snowing at the top of hwy 9 today at 3:20pm. Wasnt too cold on the climb up, but the decent was chilly.

St Joe's annual Christmas ride

We have been riding something but mainly St Joe's for years now on Christmas Day.
It was much nicer than three years back back when Garrett (who wasn't used to riding on his own bike) ,waiting at one of the intersections, froze in very cold rain. Better to keep moving. Patrick was up at the front of our group.

Two years ago it was amazing to see Patrick make it up, having been very sick since the previous July. I knew he was in recovery then (what a great Christmas for a mom)...and he hadn't been sure if he could make it up on his own!

Last year was just Garrett, me and our friend Diane. She has been coming to hang out and ride for 12 or 13 years now.

This year Garrett was well off the front while Patrick held back to socialize. My old boss, Jerry, met us on the trail and was happy to get out of the house for an hour.

I think it was nicer between 12:30 and 2:30. The trip back to Campbell seemed colder...like a cold wind started blowing in from the north. We saw one single-speed and two other bikes on St Joe's. A number of families walking. Not near as many new bikes on the Los Gatos Creek Trail. Last year there seemed to be many more, just found under a tree that morning.

It was great to get out. We may have to hike next year. My friend thinks she's getting to old to ride on Christmas!

Just came back from St. Joes.

Good riding to be had there. A few mud puddle, but for the most part, dry to very very little bit muddy. Makes for great riding if anyone is planning to hit dirt today.
