Well.. forecast looked like it's pretty much a bust for this w/e (02/18-02/20.)

Had planned for a big group of us to come down..been checking the forecast on a couple of diff sites. Wondering if the locals could chime in on a few things:

Is there enough rain forecast to make the trails unrideable? Planned on hitting gooseberry for sure, then some of the other more local St. G trails (Bearclaw/Zen etc.)

Second thing, are there any other trails in the area which are almost guaranteed to be rideable in the rain and worth the drive from up north?

You can always count on Paradise, prospector/church rocks even when its raining. If it just sprinkles then you should be safe on anything besides bearclaw. Barrel roll and rim rocks is safe too unless there is a significant amount of rain. Partly cloudy/sunny at the moment 6pm

Nope, Nope, Nope. Rained most of saturday and today. Sorry I dont think anything is safe, loosing doubt about even church rocks at the moment. The trails would be a bust for the next few days

Monday 2/21 Update

Well.....

Just when things wee really drying out up here in Virgin (JEM/Hurricane Rim/Goulds) we got dumped on.

JEM/Goulds/Hurricane Rim are going to be be unridiable for 7-10 days. Upper JEM and Goulds from Cattle Pen to HWY59 might be a cuple of more weeks.

Good news is maybe we can go out and try and figure out some way to smooth out the cow craters on the JEM.

Gooseberry and Little Creek are totally covered in Snow. The snow level was down below 4000 feet.

Don't have any recon on St George trails yet....

Well, we ended up staying home.

Got loads of snow here up north too =/. A few of our local trails were rideable last week..

Now, we are planning on the weekend of March 5th.. c'mon sunshine!

Time well tell but my guess would be no...

Churchrocks, Barrelroll, zen should be good by the weekend unless we get more moisture

Rode paradise canyon today amd it was good. No mud but the trail was malleable good time to get rid of the tracks of ask the hikers that went they it last weekend.
