Welcome back to the States, I am as of now making my intentions known to the Single Speed community... Concider this my formal bid to host the 2005 in State College PA. The past two seasons the East Coast Family have traveled to our forest of 90,000 acres to enjoy some of the finest singletrack you never heard about. The location is well suited for an event of this nature, the forest is open and the trails hold up to the worst weather with little to no wear (weather will stop nothing!), the town is based around Penn State- 500 drunks won't even set off the radar, and is accesible to NYC, Pittsburgh, Philly, and DC. What does everyone think? The past two ECNASSCU both got rave reviews by riders, come see how amazing the East can really be. Thanks, Eric Roman.

Well

New England got cross nats for the next two years, so I second the State College recommendation. Pa is centrally located on the East Coast and the facilty is top notch. Eroman puts on a great event as well.

fine, then according to three of us, state college it is! now there's just the rest of the world to worry about or else we're each guaranteed a gold, silver, or bronze. (i'm sure i'd be the bronze)

I think you're all forgetting a few things...

The SSWC goes to the country or region that represents the most during the previous year's race. Some consideration goes to the winner but most consideration goes to whoever throws down the hardest.

So, while it's nice to place a bid, those of us posing, er posting here rather than actually haven ridden in Krautland over the past couple of days have no clout when it comes to determining the location for the 05 Worlds.

DirtRag was in the house as well as others from PA, it should be a fine buidding process, it all comes out in the wash---yes?

Who was there from Dirt Rag? Them plane tickets were too much for me...

But yeah, I agree with Eric. They put on a fine race, it's a great town and the trails are awesome.

Huh?

what does 'cross have to do with Single Speeding and PA? I've never met a cross racer who drank as much as a SSer...but then what do I know. If there is a better place and someone who wants to give up a whole year for no money, glory, and constant second guessing let him/her step forward.

Just outta curiosity, who decides?

Otherwise, I must selfishly vote for PA too (although it looks like a blast!).

Wanna see what the riding is like in state college? here are some Pics from ECNASSCU 04...
Who's the pirate with the wacky helmet?

PA sounds and looks fantastic. An easy drive from WI, I'll just have to fire up the ole' meth lab. ;)
