I'm not sure what hurts worse: yesterday's 8-hour race or paying the Adrenlin people $417.50 US for their race in Whistler this September. That fee includes a $10 fee for their web site development. There's no better feeling that paying a large entry fee and getting nickled and dimed for a POS web site.

I agree the Adrenalin people are crooks, at least in their value-for-moeny ratio. But wouldn't it be the World Solo Championships... SS usualy stands for SingleSpeed. And this year the World's are in Germany...

Ah yes. Chris Cosentino (SS soloist extraordinaire) was out here in the UK for one of the big 24hrs last month and was saying how much of a rip-off (some of?) the US promoters are. The race here cost closer to $130 all inclusive. Charging tent, free massages, good food tent, solo tent, free Red Bull, free camping all week, great showers, etc, etc. He could probably have flown over with the savings. ;)

He said some of the promoters charge you for camping and parking. :D

Sorry. I missed some adjectives. It's the 24 Hour Solo Singlespeed World Championships.

When I saw that I thought "what the hell?" SSWC2004 is only 30euros ($36) to enter! You could have got a cheap flight to Berlin, accomodation, the party and race for the price of that entry!

Hope they lay on a great event for you :D
