So on this access 29er build i'm doing I haven't devided on either. I ride Amelia primarily, Oleta often, and markham sometimes. Those with experience in both please offer me some pros and cobs of

1) ss vs geared (I'd go 1x9)
I only use 2 gears anyway.

And

2) rigid vs suspension.
sooo many roots!

1 x 9 with Suspension. Actually if you are starting from scratch I would go 1 x 10... But SS are fun too.

Was thinking about it but I could probably find 9spd cassette and der cheaper and I really only use 2 maybe 3 gears on any trails. I'm thinking Reba for the front end since its a budget build.

A Reba would be sweet for any build a Recon or Tora would be more of a budget build fork. The Reba is the RS high end 29'r fork.

both the recon and tora come in the exact color of the frame too. i'm thinking whichever one of those is better, considering they're pretty evenly priced, that's what i'll go with

nothing wrong with ss rigid build. i havent been there yet but i do santos, alifia, carter ,and boyette

I see some ss rigids riding there too but my back isn't up to that abuse...
Personally I'd go 1x10 FS for down here. I find that I am only using 2 or 3 rear gears with the center ring. I ride Markham a lot and even on Gun Range/ Crimescene trails that is all the gears I need. YMMV

Yeah I have a F's already but building up a hardtail frame. Ill probably go 1x9 not 10 just cause light parts are cheaper.
